Hi guys I recently purchased this new hammer kit for my 10/22. I have found that it does lighten the trigger pull. I have not measured it but compared to the factory trigger pull there is a considerable difference. I bought this kit from Midwayusa.com. I used a video from YouTube as a guide to switching it out. I would rate this as a very easy project that took less that 35mins. I used a punch for the trigger assembly and screw driver for the stock. Volquarsten claims it will smooth the trigger pull which is minimal but still helps. The light trigger pull does aid in easy and consistent shot placement along with proper breathing and trigger control. Overall I would say this is a must for all 10/22 shooters due to cost vs gain. Makes shooting a Ruger even more enjoyable.:cool2:

I was pleased with the Great West Gunsmithing video for DIY that no upgrade is needed. No creep , very smooth crisp break and no follow through. Took an hour tops going slow and inspecting carefully.
Must be considered before your money is wasted here.

For sure don't buy a VQ auto bolt release. Two minutes and a faux dremel you got the same thing.

For goodness sake don't buy any thing til upgrading the sights. Williams fire or peep and tech sights are way better than stock. Your breathing and finger technique will go further.

It should drop the pull from around 8lbs to 3lbs or less.
