Could an individual take a tube-fed semi-automatic .22 rifle and:

* add a folding stock?

* cut the barrel down to 16.5 inches but still maintain an OAL of 26" inches with stock folded?

* add a foregrip?

I have a crazy idea for a project but wanted to see if I was going to violate anything before even considering it any further. I was under the impression that a tube-fed .22 rifle was exempt from AW laws. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, follow the flowchart. It's your best advice. :punk:

Rimfire rifles are exempt from California AW laws.
Rimfire pistols are not exempt.

16" barrel and minimum operable OAL of 26" is legal with any "evil" features.
