Nah, Obama and Holder only learned about F&F from the media reports:

Newly obtained emails show that the White House was better informed about a failed gun-tracking operation on the border with Mexico than was previously known.
L.A Times article here (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-atf-guns-20110902,0,7480365.story)
Please note how Mr. Serrano still tries to carry water for Obama even if the emails prove otherwise.

After earlier emails from Newell to O'Reilly surfaced, Newell testified to congressional investigators in July that the two were friends and acknowledged that he probably should not have sent them to him. But the new emails indicate that Newell and O'Reilly were in deeper discussions about gun operations on the border.
According to the emails, William D. Newell, then the ATF field supervisor for Arizona and New Mexico, was in close contact with O'Reilly and sought the White House's help to persuade the Mexican government to let ATF agents recover U.S. guns across the border.

Nah, Obama never ever did anything to harm gun owners rights. Just ask around here, there are people who would swear on that. ;)

I hope they're gonna keep the heat on constantly rising until election day.
Not only Obama knew of this operation; I am willing to bet he was the one who approved it after Rahm Emmanuel came up with it.

At best, holder takes the wrap. But it wont get that far...there's lots of pawns to sacrifice prior.

Both the LA Times and Fox News are reporting that the White house was regularly updated on "Project Gunrunner" via email. No mention of "gunwalking", but this brings the scandal a huge step closer to the president.

September 2, 2011 - LA Times: (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-atf-guns-20110902,0,7480365.story) White House received "Fast and Furious" emails

Is this actually new information? I thought something like this came out weeks ago?

Or maybe this is new information confirming the previous reports?

But then, again, maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.

It is information we knew from hate spewing right-wing sources like Faux News and conservative blogers and was ignored by credible news outlets like LA Times...until now, that is.
Some journoulists are willing to continue to ignore the truth and cover for Obama and Holder and some aren't - not anymore.

And that is a very BIG deal.

Just like Obama didn't know his uncle was in jail despite it being in the news for almost a week now?

All it takes now is for one or two of these folks to flip and testify truthfully before the committee, and Obama could be in big trouble. I think Holder may be sacrificed soon.
