Hello,

Just trying to buy a good, cheap scope to spot shots at about 100 yards or a bit further.

I looked through about 30 of them and bought this one. It was the clearest with the most sturdy stand. Got it at big5 on sale for 99.00.

I have this - for the price its pretty bright and clear even on the highest magnification. If you buy Barska buy at least the Blackhawk line, the Colorado series are really their cheaper glass.

What kind of power do you need for a spotting scope?

Shooting 200 yards, this one that you recommended,
Barska Blackhawk 18-36x50, how far can you read holes in targets with this scope?

Whats up guys?

I looked up these scopes and they have very poor reviews, if I want a decent scope for the the shooting range how much do I need to spend?

You may need to go back and look that over again - see the reviews below.

That would be the konuspot 80 that he's probably referring to. I've been thinking of getting one for a while. But my leupold binos have been filling in in the meantime.

for 100 yards? your hunting binoculars. Unless you have some crazy power on the scope, then just use the scope.
