UPDATE: i just received the Vortex Solo R/t monocular. ill post pics when i have a chance.

i attended the vickers ak operator class and competed in a 3 gun match earlier this month. a pocket spotter/ monocular would have been great to have when zeroing weapons or confirming hits on paper. do any of you have some recommendations?

Take a look at this Vortex Monocular:

I was highly impressed with its FOV and overall optical clarity. Vortex really does put out a great optic.

I have that Vortex... the optics are really impressive. I was surprised at how much resolution it has. The mil marks are nice too since my scopes are all mil.

The only thing wrong with Chase's recommendation is that he beat me to it.

In the current configuration, the SOL-3608-RT allows you to focus the reticle independently. Very nice addition to an already excellent product, and it shows that Vortex listens to their customers.

the only thing not completely selling me on that unit is its non pocketable size.
