Was pulled over for towing a small trailer 70 MPH max speed of 55 MPH ( belive i was going 65 MPH.

my question is 22406(b) the right VC for a small trailer?

V C Section 22406 Maximum Speed for Designated Vehicles
Maximum Speed for Designated Vehicles
22406. No person may drive any of the following vehicles on a highway
at a speed in excess of 55 miles per hour:

(a) A motortruck or truck tractor having three or more axles or any motortruck or truck tractor drawing any other vehicle.

(b) A passenger vehicle or bus drawing any other vehicle.

(c) A schoolbus transporting any school pupil.

(d) A farm labor vehicle when transporting passengers.

(e) A vehicle transporting explosives.

(f) A trailer bus, as defined in Section 636.

Amended Sec. 22, Ch. 787, Stats. 2000. Effective January 1 2001.

See highlighted. Seems that would cover the trailer. And if you were tooling traveling at 56mph, technically you would be in violation since it's 55mph +

The issue you may run into is that you're 15mph over the limit so you may not be eligible for traffic school (discretion of judge), and some judges suspend licenses for speeding infractions (3 months for first offense, can be suspended for any speeding violation).

Thanks, I'm about 99% sure i was going 65 MPH or below, but over 55 MPH

Yes, that is the right section. Fine for 65 or 70 mph is the same. The fine amount changes at 16 mph over and you're not eligible for traffic school at 26 mph over the speed limit.
