What is the biggest and strongest safe available under 3k? I want to store guns, valuables, things like that.

Used safes from around 1980 or earlier seem to be thicker than average and it's less than 1/2 price being used an all...
sturdy safe has a lot of steel for the price..no fluff or high end finishing though.
25 year old amsecs looked pretty good for non-fire safes when I've seen them.

Have you considered purchasing a old huge antique safe from the 1800's
I have seen a few of those that weigh in around 4500-6000 lbs and they have plenty of room for your toys.

I think browning safes are probally one of the heaviest duty safes out there

Here is a chinese made TL 30 jewlery safe for $2500.
Or look for something used - I recently bought a used TL 30 (not fire rated) for $3100 + tax & moving (which add a lot). but maybe you can find somthing in you range.
