Those will be fine.

Make sure you drill good pilot holes. I also like to set the front stud (the machine screw and nut) with a drop of green Loctite. Just don't reassemble the rifle until it's good and dry.

If it's a plastic barrel band, I'd rather put in a proper screw...

Don't a lot of people just remove the barrel band anyway? Shoots better without it?

Those will work, I used the same set for my 10/22.

Factoid:
Uncle Mikes moved their sling stud manufacturing overseas. A former employee bought their equipment and makes the same studs in the USA under the GrovTec name.

Interesting fact Tom.. I bought KNS precision swivels years ago they were marked GT and were nice parkerized 1.25 inch. So I just bought another pair this time marked KNS and slightly different finish

Yes. That has been recommended to me before. Removing the barrel band makes one less thing touching the barrel and pushing it as it expands. It's the same philosophy as the free float stocks used by competition shooters.
