Okay, so I just saw on the CGF Twitter feed that the Foundation is on SwipeGood.
https://swipegood.com/charity/calguns-foundation/

Is anyone familiar with SwipeGood? Sounds like a great way to donate, but I think I'm going to have to do a bit more research before I give them my CC info.

What is their cut?

I believe they get either 5.5 or 7.5 percent, 3% of which is to cover fees from the debit/credit companies.

Also saw today on the CGF Twitter feed that you can now set up recurring donations. Woot!

They require your username and password to your bank account's web access system.

I like the idea, but I don't give that password out to anyone who I'm not having sex with.

I like how there are new avenues to donate but I too am wary over giving out bank info.

The recurring payment option on the GCF site does not require your bank password.

Since CGF is a fed 501 non profit. Myself and another co worker are using our annual charity drive at work and made donation stickers to donate to and promote donating to CGF. Our company is cool with it and when the drive is over there will be a nice chunk of $$$ coming CGF 's way. Great idea with the swipe thing and all of us should try to think of new ways to donate and help promote donating to support such a great cause. The other side is well financed so we need to be too.

Heck, even if I am having sex with them it would have to be freakin' amazing for me to give them that info.:43::43:

What a waste. I send checks directly to CGF, to maximize the effect of my donation.

FWIW, we've raised about $55 through 3 new SwipeGood signups since Sept. 9. Every single dollar counts, and we sincerely appreciate those who use SwipeGood or make recurring donations directly at our site.

I don't give that password out to anyone. Not anyone at all, ever!

FWIW, some of us use Quicken / Mint / etc. financial software which requires this information. SwipeGood works in exactly the same way using the same security and encryption methods.

I had a very good day at work today, I'm sending in another $100 in the mail tomorrow.
