Does anybody have a flare laucher on their ar-15/OLL? If so where would I buy one, not interested in launching any flares but it just looks cool. And also the legality to attach such a device on a OLL or a registered AW. By the way the bullet tip maglock-very nice will buy for sure!

You could put one on a fixed mag build, but you'd have to take off the upper to reload...

I guess you could use the bullet tip mag lock....

Just buy a flare gun. It's smaller and easier to use, though it doesn't look mall ninja cool... :p

But there are....other.....uses for a weapon mounted 37mm. I aways see them at the guns shows, but I'm sure you could order one online.

What if you have a registered AW AR-15? Can you put one on it then, since it's already registered as an assault weapon anyhow?

i think you can put it on any ar-15 just as long as it is fixed mag. would you sitll be able to break it open to load it though?

Okay, but what about a non-fixed mag AR? Not a California OLL -- a registered "AW" AR...

A flare launcher is an evil feature just like a pistol grip.... if it is a registered AW, none of the evil feature rules apply... you can attach a flare launcher no problem.

In any situation that a rifle cannot have a pistol grip, it cannot have a flare launcher.

No flare launchers on an M1A; but its ok for a 10/22.

Awsome guys! always wanted to have one of those things. Like I said not really interested in firing anything out of them, but it looks cool and definitely gets noticed at the range. I wish I had been keeping up with the current AW/OLL situation, I just thought once AW were banned that's it, it's done. I do have 1 registered AW thankfully with 30rdmgs that was a post-ban when I bought it, and I had always felt like there was something missing, then I stumbled onto calguns, then BAM my rifle is finally the way it should be! Since I learned about OLLs just recently I'm just all exited and can't wait to build my first one! (got 6 days to go) No doubt I'll love my OLL just as much as my registered. Thanks to calguns and everyone on this site for helping me get my head out of my ***, and finally being able to bring a new member of the family home.:D :)

What about if I put a 37mm Flare Launcher on a Bushmaster Carbon 15 22lr? Would that be legal here behind the iron-curtain?

As I said, its a normal evil feature... if it can have a pistol grip/thumbhole stock it can have a flare launcher. Yes, it is legal on a .22 LR
