If I sold my HAR-25 to a cali person, what would I have to do to the rifle to make it legal to ship to a Cali FFL?

Yes, the HAR25 is unlisted by name. Therefore:

- First, separate the upper from the lower.

- Next, if the lower has a telestock, remove it.

- Then, remove the pistol grip from the lower. (Don't lose the detent pin for the selector.) No further parts need to be stripped from the lower.

I recommend separate shipping of upper & 'evil parts'. Ship the upper + evil parts to the end user; ship the stripped lower to the buyer's CA FFL. You can verify that the FFL is active/licensed using the BATF's FFL E-Z-Chek system on BATF website (if you have some of the FFL's digits).

The buyer will comply with CA laws in proper assembly into an SB23-compliant configuration.

OK, thats what I wanted to know. Hopefully someone in CA wants one.

I would also make sure that the buyer's FFL won't have a problem DROSing it.

The FFL paperwork around here is called DROS - Dealer's Record of Sale.
