I'm trying to get an order placed for powder through Midway. This order will be for 48lbs total to max out the order invoice.

Shipping and hazmat will be 63 cents per lb ordered (actually, $29.99 divided by 48 lbs = 62.4791667 -> 63 cents rounded up). So for example, if you order an 8lb jug of H4895 for $126.99, your total cost will be $126.99 + (.63 * 8) = $132.03 (~$16.50 per lb).

Is anyone in the vicinity of the Inland Fish and Game shooting range interested in getting in on this? I have 24 lbs spoken for on this order, so I need to order 24 more lbs to make the shipping/hazmat to work out to be 63 cents per lb, thus minimizing the shipping/hazmat per lb costs.

I'm definitely going to want payment in advance so I'm not sitting on powder that I don't want. Most likely I'll want Paypal in full as a deposit, then cash when powder picked up from me and I'll release/refund the Paypal transaction (Paypal fees are not taken out if refunded, so you get all your money back). But that can be ironed out later.

Anyway, If you are in the area of the IFG range, or are willing to drive there to pick up from me, PM me if you are interested in getting on this order.

For right now, PM me what powder you want and how much of each.

I'm shooting to order by Feb 1.

PMs for 8lb jugs or PMs in increments of 8 (or maybe 4) have priority.

Prices are the same for dealer and non-dealer, so you can see the prices on Midway yourself.

I don't know what kind of response there will be, so this will be interesting to see if this will work. If it does, the powder group buys can be coordinated on this forum in the future.

If you are doing a powder + primers group buy, I'm in. I want to avoid as much of the hazmat fee as possible.

Yes. Cost is pretty much the same. Powder Valley has slightly lower prices, but higher shipping costs. But once I find out what needs to be ordered, I can do the price comparisons in detail and pick the better option.

I wish you were closer......oh well. I'll be suprised if they allow you to combine powder and primers on the same hazmat fee...usually they have to be shipped seperately.

Is there still room for an 8lb jug of Hodgon H110? My Deagle is hungery and have not fed it in a while.

Have you tried comparison shopping with Grafs, with a C&R discount? :) Usually, Grafs + C&R beats powder valley and Midway hands down, and their shipping isn't too bad.
