I was looking around today for a good price on chrome bolt carriers in my never ending quest to make shiny things, and came across a site advertising a titanium bolt and carrier (http://www.degrata.com/titanium-bolt-carrier-bolt-assembly-unassembled-p-795.html. I know titatium is lighter and has dampening attributes, but what else should i know? ive heard that some chrome bolt carriers chip over time, should i take this into account? any experience/info/wierd dream prophecies would be helpful. Thanks!

Link is bad ... take off the end bracket.

All the cool kids have a gold carrier (http://www.degrata.com/titanium-bolt-carrier-bolt-assembly-assembled-p-794.html) though.

Your link wont work but I made this one work that takes you to the same place.

Kinna pricey huh. well I just blew 3K on a rifle so I'm a little short of phony green stuff at the moment.

Hey anyone wanna put towards the fund to buy SAM a titanium BC ?

Heres a tech note from Armalte regarding titanium firing pins but not bolt carrier

Well, your link no workie for me. I assume you are looking at AR bolt carriers? I just use the standard LMT bolt carrier group, or the MP tested CMT (but I have to stake the key better on those). With the money I save (and I assume it's more money than the typical LMT) I buy ammo. Bling bling bolts are not my cup of tea.

yeah, that was my concern about ti firing pins, but a bolt carrier is different. seeing as how its lighter, it should move quicker and prove a more steady cycling of the action. and it wont flake like i have heard some chrome ones do
