Title says it all. I have a buddy who's a Sheriff's Deputy and wants to know where he can get the best deal, so I wanna help him out. Thanks!

ETA: Plus what about the best price for us NON-LEO folk? I'm in the process of selling a NIB FN HP and want to buy a G19 as well. Thanks!

LOCATION would be either the FRESNO or VISALIA area.

Location now in OP, but can't I just buy it from wherever and have it transferred to my area? That's how I got a great price on my Colt 1911 a few years back. Bought it outta the mid-west and just had it transferred to my FFL. What am I missing?

Glock Blue Label dealers cannot ship Blue Label guns. LE price on a Glock 19 should e $425. Non LEO usually is $499.

So, I just gotta find a Blue Label dealer then. Is there a master list for California?

Force tactical in Simi Valley is a blue label dealer. Great prices and first rate service. I recently picked up a GLock 19 with three magazines for $425.00.

For Non-LEOs, the best you can do is join GSSF for two years and you'll get Amy standard Glock for $425. Plus you'll be able to compete in GSSF matches, and you're eligible to take the Armorer's course.

I would also call Glock, tell them where you live and what gun stores in the area offer Blue Label Glocks to LEOs.

Since you're in the Fresno area, I think PRK Arms does Blue Label discounts. If not, call Ed's Public Safety.

How does it work with the three mags they give you? Are they the 10-round mags for the G19 or the 15-round standard mags disassembled as parts kits? Can you opt to mix and match (ie: 2 10-round and 1 15-round)?

If you are Law Enforcement or any other exempt person you get 15 rounders.

All others get 10 rounders. I've never heard of any GLOCK dealers mixing and matching or selling a high cap as a rebuild kit to a non-LEO.

If he does not have a blue label dealer nearby ANY FFL can do the transfer for him.

Find a dealer who is willing to receive the weapon without charging him a bundle.

Have him call Glock and ask for info on a blue label purchase. They will email the paperwork.

Gill out paperwork and send it back. have the FFL receiving the weapon fax Glock a copy of their license.

Wait about 3 months.

There's a thread in the calgunner's in service about it. I bought a 23 via the blue label program not long ago. Saved about $100. He can probably order standard cap magazines with a letter from work, but he'll have to talk to Glock I don't know how that works.

What he said.

Or no mags. My buddy went through a police academy (self sponsored) and bought a glock 17 from proforce. They had no 10 round mags in stock so he got it for $340 without any mags.

That would be a straw purchase and is illegal.

I think Leo discount is a set price $399. Plus fee's.

But stay away from turners I went there and their OTD price was $555. Apparently you only save $5 is what the guy behind the counter told me.... But the average I found was usually $399+ fees. About $450 OTD. if your socal check out proforce.

Unless his friend is giving it to him as a gift it is -

In the context of United States federal gun laws, a straw purchase is defined as any purchase from a dealer holding a Federal Firearms License where the buyer conducting the transaction is acting as a proxy for another person.

He would need to calrify the comment "purchase the G19 for me". I took it to mean purchase in his place.
