I noticed that the 2007 Dangerous Weapons Control Law which is available on the DOJ web site now has an index. That should make it a lot easier to find a particular section of the Penal Code.

No, Dangerous Weapons Control Laws refers to the whole body of guns & weapons laws in Penal Code, family code (FC), Welfare & Institutions Code (WIC), maybe even there's some stuff in Gov't Code (GC).

AB2728 is one bill that merely makes changes to one speciific narrow area of AW law, 12276.5PC - in fact, 122276.5PC has gotten much smaller, since AG can't list new guns now and all those procedures have gone away.
