I tired the Sig 2022 yesterday, i loved the pistol :D Seemed to shoot well and the DA, and the decocker seemed to work well. New price is 419, usually sigs are very expensive. What is your guys opinion on this pistol? I compared it to my XD, and i know with polymer pistols there is somewhat of lateral slide movement since the bonding of the slide and lower aren't machined like aluminum or a steel frame is. But bottom line i really like it.

They're growing popularity very quickly. Can't beat that price either. There's a guy on calguns selling them for 379 too!

It is one of the most under estimated polymer pistol in my opinion.

Nice quality pistol.

Very fun gun. I've relegated my SP2022 to home defense & range shooting. Preferring my P226s for competition use

Shoots like a p226, feels similar to a usp compact. If I was ever going to buy a plastic gun, Sp2022 would be one I would consider.

BSG the sig pro has been around since 1998 its not really new. lol but overall I love the pro I currently own one in 9mm I wanted .40s&w but cause of ammo cost 9mm was the better choice, one thing I have to say about is the recoil no matter if you get the 9mm or.40/357 its really manageable and was quite supprise that i could get my site picture back quick with the .40 as well as i do with my 9mm version. some people complain about the weight no its not as light as a glock its like 4oz heavier but for me I dont need to feel like im holding a toy the pro is light weight and yet still feels secure & present in the hand. I carry it on duty and trust my life with the pro :D

Thinking about getting one myself. Can't beat the price for what you get.

Ah, the daily 2022 thread. Yes, get one. Very few people regret it. I love mine. This reminds me, I need to take mine to the range again soon.

Best bang for your buck! Bought as a range gun but has turned into my home defense pistol of choice. Very happy with it

to me... that's a "newer production" Sig; all my Sigs are "w. germany" manufactured. ;)

I talked to RPK in Milpitas, the guy said that the new ones are pretty different from the old ones, and they cost only like $500.
Did you shoot the new one?

Had an all German made SP2022 (triple serials etc) but had problems with the trigger pivot retainer. http://calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=446166&highlight=sigpro+2022
Got a replacement and it runs perfect.
