Anyone know a good sling that works with the standard sling loops on an A2 pattern rifle?

Turner Sling or Les Tam

Also available in black leather if you feel the need to color coordinate. The Biothane versions come in brown, black, and OD, iirc.

The standard GI issue web sling works fine, too.

If you want a sling to be 'tactical', check Specter Gear. They make slings for all types of sling mount configurations, such as:

Ace Hardware they have 1 1/2 webbing and hardware. You can make your own tactical or standard sling for about 5.00.

If you're looking for a 'standard' sling, the nylon M14 slings are quite good too.

I ended up buying a sling identical to the tacticool one you posted in that picture, except black in color.

Mountain View Surplus had a bunch for sale.

Just get a standard USGI silent sling. They are black, made for AR-15 rifles, and only cost like $5 bucks. Gun shows have em, and I think brownells has em.

+1. Cant beat whats proven.

If you want something more tacticool, I like the Giles sling. Its similar to the HK 3point MP5 sling.

Slings are like girl friends or stereo speakers - very personal. You're build and carry method ought to have a big influence on what rifle sling you use. I went though four or five before settling on a Giles but that's just me.

Well, slings may be personal, but it also depends on what you're using it for.

I purchsed this 3 point tactical sling at AITES Gear.. http://www.aitesusa.com/

Not very expensive and it's the same sling they issue to front line troops. It's simple and functional.
