Would an AK slant muzzle brake fit on my 59/66? http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?id=1443d0cd-1be6-46e4-ac59-055f322563c1

Thanks

No, the sks has 14x1 right hand threads as opposed to the ak which has 14x1 left hand threads. If you can find an L1A1 flashhider it fits on the threads of the sks and looks pretty cool, but flashhiders are illegal in cali. Another way you can use ak muzzle devices is if you retread the sks barrel to 14x1 left hand threads like the ak.

I picked up one of Rich's brakes for my 59/66 but i have not yet installed it. Actually that make a nice sunday project for this weekend.

Not if you have a fixed magazine. You can even add a pistol grip and folding stock if you have a fixed mag sks. Of course...the US made parts count can come into play with this...especially with a fh.

Is it legal to remove the muzzle brake on the Yugo M59/66?

yes. the factory M59/66s came with grenade launchers, which are a no no in CA. So you HAVE to remove the brake to make it legal ;)
