The Anatomy of Gun Control
You can see it in every gun control ordinance and law

The Anatomy of Gun Control - you can find it in every piece of legislation that blames inanimate objects and restricts the rights of the law-abiding American while ignoring the real problem. I believe one can find it in every bill or ordinance that the anti-gun lobby slides through California city councils, county boards and the state legislature. The Anatomy of Gun Control exposes itself in the light of day, if you take the time to look.

So I thought I'd take a current piece of lawmaking and illustrate by examining the very goings-on of a major California legislative body. A few weeks ago, I was forwarded a link to an online video, that of the Sacramento city council on December 5th of last year (just over a month at the moment I write this). Sacramento is in the early stages of considering 8 different gun control measures (watch the video).

If I'm right, it didn't matter what the gun control issue was. Where gun control is being successfully foisted on California citizens, there is sure to be an unholy collboration between gun-control groups and your elected representatives, underway long before any public meetings are held. One can easily find plenty of evidence of the Anatomy of Gun Control in such situations if one only takes the time to look.

Did I find that evidence? Of course, the viewer is the judge and I defer to Your Honor. Please visit:

Mike,

just the right length, since we have all seen the full lenght hearing, I know you didnt edit peoples words to suit you, it was a very clear representation of the actual discussion, but was concise enough to keep me watching.

great work.

I see what the movie clip is saying but I would report a lost or stolen gun with or without a law making it mandatory. I don't want the bloody gun in my name any more if I no longer control it. That law is totally unenforceable and should be an educational thing to gun owners rather than some kind of fine or jail.

How do you guys watch this kind of stuff without becoming engorged with rage?

They know the law hasn't been effective. They're just furthering the agenda of incremental disarmament. They care not for the freedoms of yourself and your children.

Sacramento or I should say, California is going down to the dogs. It's sad but true.

Actually, it's an improvement.

DO you think that LCAV person took a beating like that when they were passing anti-gun garbage previously?

I didn't add much text to the video because it speaks for itself, or rather THEY speak for THEM-selves. You are clearly seeing frustration voiced by the city council with the failures they have been led by the nose into. Now we need to leverage that attitude and continue their education - as only good NRA volunteers can. Respectfully. Assertively. Clearly. Persistantly. (And we don't have to live in Sacramento to do it.)

Remember - this issues is ongoing right now:

And - they only voted YES to drafting the ordinance. It will have more hearings, public comment opportunities and votes. BTW, this may come in handy:
