I was wondering what would be a good price for the RIA Tactical. Not the one with the fiber optic sights but the one with the novak ones. I think it is model number45FS TAC. Like I said think.

as far as price goes, I couldn't tell you who has the best price, but I can verify that they are not Novak cut sights, they are only Novak style cut, there's a few makers that build sights for them though, Dawson Precision is one of them

In all my local shops, they are going for $500 new + tax/dros. I would think a good price would be $450, but I've yet to find that around me.

They have to charge you tax, either they pay or you pay, put yourself in their shoes. You wanna go to prison on a tax evasion charge because a customer didn't feel like paying the tax?

I just picked one up through Gallery of Guns for $535 OTD. If you want the cheapest price I've seen online, check out centerfiresystems.com or sarcoinc.com. They both had them for $420 last time I checked.

Let's say the Armscor wasn't even an option, what would the next cheapest custom 1911 be? 850$, 900$, 1100$?
If paying an extra 40 or 50$ is gonna kill the deal then don't expect to have any gun shops to walk into anymore. It costs money to hire people and keep the doors open.

I probably will end up buying from that shop and i do know its cost money to run a business, but i just didn't want to pay too much. I might have to shop around more but i will probably buy there because I don't want to drive far or buy online. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't paying like a hundred dollars over.

I see them pop up for sale here in the buy/sell forum. Unless you need to have it now, you can wait and pick one up that is slightly used and save yourself some cash and probably get some extra mags or something else tossed in.

are you asking about the previous tactical or the new 2011 tactical?

The new 2011 Tactical is full body railed, I think it's about $100 more than the previous one...

Oh come on...I mean $619 is a great price! Just ask them!

So OTD it would only be:

$693.37...That is why I have to chuckle when people say "you won't really save much buying online"
