Can someone help me out please? Do any of you happen to know anyone who makes custom Kydex holsters or do any of you fellow Calgunners' actually make them yourselves?

I'm in the Northern California (SF Bay Area) and need a solid, pancake style (a la' Raven Concealment style) or a regular fold-over style kydex holster for my 1911 that has an aftermarket rail attachment (Surefire MR07), with TLR-1 light mounted to it.

Any help would be great, thanks!

we have a leather holster maker in northern CA, Tim Thurner is up here in Lake County, I buy most of my stuff from him :)

From what I gather, the Boat-Man holster makers don't do custom "presses" anymore, meaning what you can purchase is what they picture only. I need someone that will make a custom holster, that can fit my above described 1911 set-up...

i've used this one before, but the draw is weird since you have to push the gun back to release from the holster

Does that work with the MR07 light adapter like I have?

it only covers the slide frame portion of the pistol, and is open below the frame. i imagine it should fit. i think wild bill's in sacramento has some. you might want to take your gun there and see if they let you test fit.

other than that, you could try contacting whoever makes the kaluban cloak in socal and see if they'll make one for you.

Solar Tactical does custom Kydex stuff. I've had several holsters and mag pouches made by them... they do a GREAT job and are quick too. I think you can contact them directly here on their forum, they are a vendor.
