My first pistol was a Jericho 941. Ive owned it for 15 years and enjoy it immensely.
For a while, I wanted a Glock 19 as a carry gun. After a range trip and running a few mags through my friend's pistol, I would now like to stay DA/SA.
Compact CZs come to mind, as do Sigs. For some reason I can't think of what else is out there.
I'm not concerned with the roster.

I've owned a Beretta PX4 Storm in .40 and loved it, a full size though! They do make them in compact and sub-comp too.

Thats weird now I think about your question, what else is out there that is DA/SA compact?

Hope it helps!

That's a great q - I have the same preference. I think there's a compact version of the Beretta 92 - it might be called a 92B. I've seen them at Bud's online. I'm not sure they're really very compact, tho.

There are more choices if you drop down to .380 - the Bersa Thunder, Sig 232, PPKs, and such. I'd like to see an LC9 in SA/DA. Or a Kimber Solo.

Test drive stuff and figure out what you like best. I've got both a P228 and CZ P-01. So I figured the same guns that you did. CZ is a bit more ergonomic while Sig has less felt recoil to me. Both are very fun to shoot.

S&W 39, 3913, 3914, 4013, 4014, 6904, cs9(very nice) ....ect. All great guns but a little hard to find and not as light as polymer framed handguns.

I would suggest trying to change to a DAO(pre-set) like the M&P9c or Kahr pistols.

While I like my Bersa Thunder 380, it leaves a little to be desired.

Depending on your budget, I'd probably get a CZ 2075 Rami...

I'll throw the beretta 84 into the mixhttp://www.imfdb.org/w/images/thumb/3/3f/Beretta_a.jpg/350px-Beretta_a.jpg
How about a USP compact? not really very compact though:

I have a Beretta 92FS Compact, also referred to as a 92FSC.

It is smaller then a full-sized 92 but it can still use the same magazines. It is roughly the size of a Glock 19.

With the USPc, the barrel is shorter, but the grip is just about the same height.

What material is the frame of your Jericho made of? Wikipedia says that there are both steel and poly-framed ones.

If its a steel one and you like it then I would stick with a steel or at least alloy framed compact. Steel framed guns handle quite differently from their polymer counterparts, mostly due to weight balance.

Another thing to consider is the style of SA/DA used in the gun you have now. Some SA/DA guns have an external safety, some don't. Most have decockers, but a few don't. What style of controls do you prefer?

For carry I would recommend a polymer handgun as it will make a difference as the day wears on.

+1

Weight is a BIG thing for a CC gun. I carry a kel-tec p-11 and I really wouldn't want to carry anything that weighed more.

But quality and shootability could persuade me to consider carrying a heavier gun like the sig p239, H&K, or S&W cs9, 3914 ect..
