Can anyone tell me when the P229 DAK with rail came out? I saw one for sale that says "Made in Germany" on frame and NH on slide. I would like to know possible dates this came out.
Also any thoughts on the DAK model would be appreciated. The trigger pull did not feel to bad to me.

I'm not going to be a lot of help on dates, but I tell you that all 229s will have domestically manufactured slides. If the frame is marked Made in Germany rather than Made in W. Germany, you'll know it was produced after the Berlin Wall came down.
The DAK trigger is really nice for folks who started with wheelguns and it feels like a well tuned duty trigger on a S&W K or L-frame.
It is one of the easiest trigger actions to learn to shoot for a new shooter and helps them avoid jerking the trigger.
The interesting thing about it is that it has a 2nd reset...it is a bit heavier, but shorter than the full reset
how about the approx year when Sig put on the rail? Thanks
