i got a quick question and i need a quick answer, is it ok to shoot surplus m2 ball 30.06 out of a hunting rifle. the rifle in question is a remington 742 woodsmaster in 30.06. it is my grandpas rifle and he has some surplus. he asked me if it would be ok, but i dont know, i know ur not soposed to shoot commercial in a garand, but surplus in a hunting rifle is ok right? thanks

Yes it is. Actually the ball ammo is milder than a lot of hunting rounds, as it was made too cycle in the M1 Garand.

thanks for the quick answer im headed over to lincon shooting range right now, and wanted to make sure we didnt hurt my grandpas rifle. thanks
