The popularity of the Grendel has taken Alexander Arms by surprise. Ammo is in short supply. I have about 400 rounds of 120gr Nosler that I am reluctant to use because I have no idea when they can be replaced. Wolf is supposed to come online soon and Black Hills a little later. My Grendel is way back in the gun safe for now.

I built the upper with a CSS 22in Lowthar Walther barrel. JP free float handguards and Young NM carrier. Mega upper and lower.

I should have mentioned that this load was picked at random as I just wanted a safe load to do the barrel break in. I think I will be able to do better when I do some load developement and tunning.

OK just a couple more questions since I was thinking of building my own upper. where did you get the barrel and did you use a regular upper receiver or did it have to be modified. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Sweet, a 6.5 Grendel upper is very tempting. Would it have killed you to shoot two more rounds for each group :p :p :D ?

2nd Grendel thread. If any of you guys don't reload, make sure to put your brass up for sale.

It might force me to buy another upper: http://www.6mmar.com

and picked up a stripped lower. Didn't even want one because of disdain for the 5.56
I've dreams of turning it into a Grendel, when I get the disposable cash. Should be a perfect deer hunting rifle. Scare the **** out of politicians in this fair state too.

The barrel came from Competition Shooting Sports. The upper was not modified in any way.

I only shot 2, 3 round groups because I was primarily interested in barrel break in. When I do the actual load developement the groups will consist of 5 & 10 round groups.
