I am throwing out a feeler here. My dad has a ruger red hawk alaskan that he is ready to part with. It was carried on 2 archery elk trips in Idaho. The gun is in excellent condition with a couple very minor marks. He has shot 100 rounds of 45LC and 3, yes 3, rounds of the good stuff...double tap .454 casull. The things is a beast, and a must have if you are going into bear country. If someone is interested I will forward your information to him. He is located in Redding, but would be able to do a FFL between Redding and Eureka, up to the Oregon border on the I-5 corridor or along the coast. He would really like to trade it for a glock G29sf plus cash with the g29sf, or if unable to find a trade, he said he would sell it. He paid a little over $1000 for it. He is looking to get around 800 and will throw in a box of DT 454 casull with 3 rounds missing and the left over 45LC that he has...not a lot. He would prefer to trade for a G29SF ONLY, but if no traders come up, he will sell.

From Double Tap website...

This is the real heavyweight for woods and big game including the big bears. A 400gr wide flat nose LBT-style bullet at 1400fps! Here is the deepest penetrating load that you can buy for the .454 Casull.

Bullet : 400gr Wide Flat Nose Gas Check Hardcast

Ballistics : 1125fps from a 2.5" Ruger Alaskan

I have had a ton of interest from potential buyers in Sacramento and the bay area, but as of right now he is only looking for a seller that can do a transaction from redding north to the Oregon border along the I-5 corridor or eureka north to the Oregon border on 101.
