Dan Freedman, author of a recent Houston Chronicle article on gun smuggling to Mexican drug cartels (http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/topstory/7586144.html), appears on C-SPAN's Washington Journal (http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/Fasta).

He does an interesting time machine thing in which he states that Gunrunner and Fast & Furious (2009) were ATF's responses to the Inspector General's Review of ATF's Project Gunrunner (November 2010) (http://www.scribd.com/doc/41724438/Inspector-General-Report-on-ATF-s-Project-Gunrunner).

There's some additional fun stuff in here, too - like where he claims that F&F came about due to "ATF's diligent detective work" as opposed to Arizona FFL's calling up ATF and alerting them to malefactors trying to buy 10 AKs at a time.

Interesting how he says he's from NYC and then moved to San Antonio, TX. He just can't bring himself to admit fully that NYC is totally wrong.
