... to enforce them???

if the AP ammo bill pass's and goes in to effect,do they really think they can go door to door and arrest all the gun owners and confiscate their ammo???
pretty much they would be taking on a small army's worth of gun owners and the only way to know who had a gun would be with illegal search warrants and illegal use of dros records.

has anyone drug test our stupidly ineffective lawmakers lately???

No, but if it's in your car you will be prosecuted. If it's found during a search of your home you will be prosecuted.

They do not have the energy to go door to door but they will hit you with the penal code if you are caught with it.

All are still in the works, some are still in committee some have passed committee. But none have been voted on by the senate yet.

See this thread (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=384410) for the links to the main threads on the bills. First post in each of those has links to the Legislature's bill page, and those pages have links to the official 'status'.

The status is sometimes a day or two out of date.

IMO, lawyers do that to insure employment :(

At this moment:

SB 124 is in Assembly Appropriations
SB 427 is in the Assembly for a vote (3rd reading, could happen today!)
AB 144 is in the Senate for a vote (3rd reading, could happen today!)
SB 798 is in the Assembly for a vote (3rd reading, could happen today!)

After today, they are scheduled to adjourn for 1 month for the summer recess, unless they have to work on more budget stuff, so if nothing happens today, we're clear for a month.

Part of what you want is in knowing what the status link for the bills is telling you.

See http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=161873 for an example.

If that status file does not show the bill as "Chaptered" it has not been signed (or allowed to become law without signature).

Why? If you're 18, you can buy it now.

None of the bills in question have been passed into law.

As far as BATFE is concerned, you are buying .223 for your rifle and 9mm for your rifle, even if you legally own a 9mm handgun (which is possible under 21).

If I was 18 and owned a 9mm handgun, I would also own a 9mm rifle so I wouldn't be lying when I told the clerk it was for a rifle.

yeah that took some convincing. Once I got my 1st pistol my mom realized that it did not sprout legs, no babys or kittens died so I was good to have a 2nd
