View Full Version : The 07/03/2011 Sunday Skeet Clinic Thread ..... Weekend part II.

This is the 2nd day of a double header weekend for the Skeet Clinic. We had a class of 8 including a couple of returning students. Coach was his usual grouchy self this morning.:p
We went thru the pep/safety talk and proceeded to station 7. This is out of the norm for the clinic as we always started at station 1. The change came because of the big shadow casted by the shiny sun this morning. There were a couple of students with a little trouble getting use to spotting the target without aiming down the barrel! But the class all pretty much got the idea and NOT looking down the barrel. Everyone actually did very well just before lunch time!!
At lunch we lost 3 and Ken came in just as I was exiting the range. I had to work!! :(
I will let the clinic students fill in the details of after lunch activities!! I'm happy to see old friends and meet new ones this weekend!! I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. We'll see y'all at the next clinic!!!
My daughter and I, had a most enjoyable day of Bird Watching and every once in a while, a bird would pester us so much, we actually had to shoot it.
Some of those birds were so sneaky, they would fly the coop, sight unseen.
We learned to point our Belly Buttons at a post and a door knob. Don told us that would teach us to see the birds better.
Ol' Don, even told us not to look at the sight, if thats true, why would all the Gun Makers, go to the expense and trouble, to put one on the end of the barrel. I guess it's true, because when we didn't look at it, we killed a bird. Go figure.
My daughter and I, signed up for another Bird Watching Class, just to hear what Don, is going to tell us next.
On a serious note, I want to thank Don, Jordon and Ken, for introducing us to a new sport.

My girlfriend and I had a great time this morning! This was my second time attending Jordon and Don's skeet clinic and I had just as much fun this time around as the first time! This was a fantastic refresher course for me. I enjoyed re-learning the basics and meeting some more calgunners!
This was also my gf's first skeet clinic/lesson. Sure, she's gotten some "pointers" from me, but I am no skeet instructor. Don was able to show her how to use her new shotgun and within just a few hours, she's shown considerable improvement.
If anyone is thinking about getting some lessons, and is on the fence about it... just do it! You won't regret it!
Jordon, thanks for setting this all up! It can't be easy to organize all of these clinics. Next time, I wanna be there for the second half!

Jordan, my son and I attended Sunday's clinic together and WOW! I can't thank you, Don or Ken enough. Ab-so-lutely fantastic! At the risk of getting flamed, I must send a criticism; You guys waaaay undercharge - really now. This instruction is the real deal given by champion-level competitors and the fee is…..what!...really?
Not only did we have a great, great time but the amount our skills have improved with this quality of instruction is really impressive. If anybody is considering this clinic book now, before I convince them to triple their price!
Pics, oh yeah I have plenty of great pics but it asks for a URL to attach. I have them on my HD, how do I get them to view on this post?

Runway1 and 5539,
It was great shooting with you this weekend!
As for the pics, you should upload them to a site like www.photobucket.com. After they are uploaded, you should be able to find links to each individual picture. Those links are what you should be copying to your post.
Let me know if you have any questions!

I was hoping to have them viewable directly, but that'll work.
