Howdy,
I just picked up my first 91/30 Nagant and am looking to build up some ammo with my press. Anyone know of a good source for some spent 7.62x54R brass for reloading?

Thanks,
Walt

Also new manufactured wolf gold is boxer primed. I suggest you get the barrel slugged to figure what diameter bullets to use.

Following brands are all good: Wolf Gold, Hot Shot, Prvi Partizan (all made in same factory) are brass cased-boxer primed. Decent brass, but I only load squibs and medium-range loads with fast pistol powders. I don't know how it would hold up to heavy charges of rifle powder under a heavy bullet.

You can also get Winchester loaded ammo that is reloadable. Grafs & Sons is out of new brass (Prvi Partisan). They do have bullets in stock, though.

That Norma brass linked above is sure to be nice stuff, but WAY too expensive. You can buy loaded ammo for HALF that.

Slugging the barrel is likely not going to make much difference unless you are casting lead bullets. Just go with .311 or .312 jacketed bullets and you are good to go (unless you have a Finnish Mosin....that's a whole nother kettle of fish).

GRAFS sells PRVI brass in 100 count bags. I just gave two unused bags away to another Calgunner. I know that doesn't help.

I think midway, grafs, sportsmanswearhouse, cabelas, bass pro all should have some .311 bullets. You'll have to buy bulk to get some savings.
