Just ordered a Rossi 44mag lever action today from Ammo Bros in Cerritos. These guys are really great, 4th rifle purchase from them in the last 2 months.

Highly suggest buying from them if you are in the SoCal area, they have always treated me right. Not saying this is their normal SOP, but I showed them the price of the rifle on CheaperThanDirt -and they matched it. Super, super deal.

I was torn between the 16" and 20" barrel - but finally ended up getting the 20. I can't wait to take this gun out shooting, it looks like a lot of fun, and might get me back into shooting my super blackhawk.

Are there any other Rossi owners here? I read good and bad about them.

i have this gun. super fun but kicks like a mule. 44 is expensive. i regret and wish that I got the 357 model. Also it ejects shells up and out, a little different. But it's quite the rifle for under $500... how much did you pay for your's?

I have a 16" .357 and a 20" .44 and love them both. Get into reloading and shoot all day.

One thing nice about the stainless models is that they look like well worn rifles with all the bluing missing. If you look at a real lever gun from the 1800's, they will look all silver like that.

I have noticed that the Rossi is a nice shooting gun, but it is not a tack driver. I would not expect anything spectacular with it. It should be accurate enough for short range hunting. One bad thing is it is a pain to take down and clean. A Marlin can be taken apart with one screw, but that Rossi will take a lot of work.

My uncle bought that exact gun this fall.

I don't find that it kicks all that much, but his shot 8" high and 6" left out of the box.

Been working with him to try and get the sights lined up on it.
