Planning on taking a trip this weekend to Jawbone Canyon BLM area.

Has anyone been out there recently? Is shooting still allowed?

'twas the last time I was out there about 2 months ago...

Since your going to JBC, why not stop by the ranger station and check?

They always seem to be VERY friendly in there.

Just found the ranger station and called. Everything looks good to go.

Super friendly people there!

Here's what the BLM says on their site for Jawbone Canyon:

"During the established hunting seasons, the BLM is encouraging all hunters and recreational shooters to use lead free nontoxic shot and bullets. Proven safer, nontoxic shot significantly reduces the risks of accidental lead poisoning of wildlife and will have minimal impacts on the environment."

Coyotes and jackrabbits are in season, all year around.
