View Full Version : 1200 rounds of 115 GRAIN FMJ 9mm just arrived

I just received 1200 rounds of 115 Grain FMJ 9mm bulk ammo from Cabelas. I was very surprised to see a huge box on my doorstep. After I opened it I realized why. They send you 4 big dry storage ammo boxes! I think it was a great deal considering I had a $50 gift certificate from Christmas and a $20 off coupon. I ended up paying ~$145 for 1200 rounds with shipping. That's about $8.30 per box of 50 including shipping. Something else to note, the ammo is Ultramax brand http://www.ultramaxammunition.com/home.html. Judging from the bullets I have looked through they look pretty decent. I will have to wait to give a full review after I pick up my new 9mm.

Thanks for the heads up. Got a new Glock 34 coming that will be hungry!

I've been using the Ultramax reloads from Cabelas for a couple of years now, mostly .223 and .308. I have had very good experiences with it, and the dry box deal (used to be genuine steel surplus ammo cans) makes it that much sweeter.

I am more than happy to report that this ammo is great! I have been using it for the last few trips to the range and have not had a single issue to date. It does leave a tad bit more residue than I am used to. I am very happy with the deal I got from Cabela's. I will purchase more of their ammo in the future.
