View Full Version : Leupold mark AR vs Burris XTR

So i have decided that i want to buy a variable power optic for my ar and thought i would get some opinions on these two. I have a M&P 15t with a 16in barrel that i currently use for home defense and the occasional 3 gun match. I was looking at both the Leupold mk ar 1.5x4 20mm or the Burris XTR 1-4x24. I know that there is a roughly 200 hundred dollar difference which isnt a big deal.
Any insight would be appreciated.

I think the Burris is a hit and miss sometimes, tho I have had some great ones, the Leupold is a good scope and if ever? resale will always be better! as far as glass I think they are real close.

The AR series are very low budget, a monumental step down from Vari-X 3 and not even in the same world as a VX-3. Better/great scopes from Nikon in that price range.
