I've been wanting a nice M1A for a long, long time. After shooting all the various models at the recent shooting sports fair at Rauhagge's I settled on the old school looks of the Loaded Standard, 22" blued barrel with the walnut stock.

I bough one from Turner's and hat to wait a couple of weeks for one to ship from wherever they come form. Today, about 2 hours ago, my ten day waiting period expired. However, the shop closed about 2 1/2 hours ago extending my wait until tomorrow morning.

I guess an extra half day won't kill me but it sure is unpleasant. :(

On the bright side, Burro Canyon tomorrow afternoon!

Be glad they're open on Sundays. Many shops aren't. :)

You know, that's a good point. At least I'll be able to get a few rounds downrange before heading back to work Monday.

Ha! I know they are not universally popular but I've had reasonably good experiences there.

I've owned three over the last 35 years from an original Devine TX model to an early 90s SA Inc version. All excellent rifles. You will love yours.

My M-14 would be one of the last rifles I would sell if some guns had to go. I dont shoot it all that much lately, but she is still one of my favorites

Nice! It's worth the wait. Definitely one of my favorites. Now you gotta stock up on surplus ammo.
