Does anyone have any info on M1A/AR15 trigger lock time? How important is lock time in shooting, and is a 6-7ms versus 4-5ms lock time really noticeable in shooting?

I have a M1A with a 5lb trigger pull and an AR15 with RRA 2 stage match trigger, just wondering what the difference might be between the two. Maybe some Service Rifle / match shooters can chime in.

A fast lock time is very important when chasing accuracy. Especially for shooting off-hand. The mass of the moving parts in the mechanism and the spring power of the various springs determines lock time.

A subtle movement while the firing mechanism is still working can equal a miss or a movement out of the X ring into the ten. Chase a fast lock time, you may not notice it now, but later you will.

Quick Google fu seems to back me up:
