How do you guys like these hand guards? Are they good quality being plastic?

i love em, my favorite non-railed handguard. never had one break on me, and theyre more versatile than stock handguards.

outstanding for the money. Light, tough, cheap, and feel great.

I picked up a set in mid length and my first impression was to be very surprised at how solid they feel and sound. They also have a nice shape for the hand with great ergonomics. By far the nicest plastic handguard I've used, and they were inexpensive.

I have my sling mounted to them and it feels rock solid so far.

Not a magpul fanboy at all, the only other thing on my rifle from magpul is the trigger guard.

I really like them, much better than the stock carbine stuff... actually I like em more than the railed aluminum stuff out there.

Look I think we can all agree that more rails = better than and thus the MOE hand guards are shameful.

Seriously though, they're cool and well-liked.

I have several. One is going for a lightweight build I'm working on, and another on my AR-22. Love their quality, and feel.

Definitely worth their weight in gold imho.

What's the light holder set up? How do you attach the QD sling attachment?

I have a set that came installed on a DD upper that I picked up, but the MOE handguard is kinda a loose fit. It twists back and forth a little bit as the gas tube keeps it from moving to much. Is this normal or is there a way to reduce this slop?

I have on em on my BCM middy, love em. Price is right , like others have said if you dont plan on attaching all kind of nonsense on your gun they work great. I attached the RVG as well on there very solid.

It was pretty hard to get em on though by myself with no vice and by hand

i dont know if your joking but you can easily attach as many rails as you want to the MOE guards. with more options and angle than a quad

i would use these before the quad rail or "lego" rail..Lol

I couldn't be happier with the feel and fit of the set I have on my midlength. Probably the best upgrade one can purchase for that little of money. -Ben

+10000000 for the MOE handguards. I have one on my 16" Stag upper. I found it to have a much tighter fit than the standard guards. I plan on getting another set for my next 20" build as well.

They feel great in almost any way I grip them, and are very durable.

Great for the price point. If you don't like them sell them in the marketplace. MOE HG are always in demand.

They suck. Mine blew up when I shot it. It wobbles all over the place too. Who makes these blackthorne?
JK there awesome but I like the unique look now if everybody gets em itll be gone. You should get a quad rail instead.

i like the simplicity of the hand guard, you can add a rail if need be. keep it simple....

I got a pair and returned em. Tho the MOE are solid, i found i prefer the feel shooting w/ round standard handguards. The MOEs are little bulky and taller than standards.

I dont agree with that. Rails=weight and unless you plan on putting tons of gadgets on there you dont need them.

I like 'em on my middie. The flatter bottom handguard makes for a bit more stability for me, either offhand or from the bench.

Reminds me a teeny bit of the old A1 handguards from my Army days. I'd always preferred the A1 handguards over the A2s that we got later on.

I purchased a set when they were released thinking that I would just be using them for a few months until I purchased a free-float handguard...still using the MOE. Great value and a perfect fit for my needs.
