It's no secret that I love going up to Alaska. The views, the fishing, and the sporting clays are all incredible, but the best part of Alaska is the part you miss if you go on a cruise, the people.

Everybody is genuinely friendly up there (even to me). But the shooters are the friendliest. And helping train the future shooters of Alaska is my buddy Neil Moss, head of the local SCTP chapter.

Neil does a great job with the kids, and I had the pleasure of shooting with the Grouse Ridge Rangers this past Thursday at Grouse Ridge Sporting Clays in Wasilla. In my opinion one of the best sporting clays course's in America (granted I've only been to 50 or 60 clubs).

Here are some pictures from that night. Two things to mention:

1. Special thanks to ten year old Ann Lord. She gave me a piece of her salmon when she heard I didn't catch any. (How pathetic is my life when a 10 year old girl feels sorry for me) :)

2. The last picture of my Alaskan economy car (red truck) was taken at 11:35pm (about 4 & hours before I had to get up and go fishing).

Alaskans take advantage of the daylight, and so did I.

Have you ever seen the Foster's Beer commercial "How to Speak Australian"? Well, here's my version, "How to speak Alaskan".

Even though I'm a cheechako from outside I was waiting for the breakup so I could shoot a walk thru. I was staying out on KGB near Iditacup, but now I'm back in the USA.

Here are the pictures

Great pic's. Investing in our youth is the wisest investment we cand make. Look at the smiles on those kids faces, great, and they are not in front of a computer or video game. All those young shooters will understand not just the shooting sports but how important it is to protect our gun rights. Mega praise to those who give thier time to our youth.
