Hello fellow calgunners

I have Remington 1100 sawed off 18.5" barrel and I like to put

the saiga 12 saber boss muzzle break on it.

I noticed that It needs threads on the exterior barrel

Anyone knows how to threads the barrel?

May be, pipe threading ?Any help would be appreciated .

Cheers.

First question..... why? ;)

Be good to know if the 1100 and the Saiga share the same outside diameter of the barrel. If not, then that's a problem that would require more of a solution. Proper threading would need to be done by something other than a simple pipe threader, I think.

Is the barrel truly "sawed off" or is it a factory 18.5 inch length. If the latter, you might consider having it threaded internally for Rem-Choke as Remington does sell a pretty aggressive breacher tube that screws into a Rem-Choke barrel.

It was originally 26" and sawed off by one who sold it to me. I also have 28" for trap shooting and I wanted 18.5" for home gun. Just I didn't wanna pay $ 300 for extra barrel. and the saber boss muzzle break could be handy :D
Yeah......... I may be one of those tacticool .... :p

No.

The saber boss isn't that aggressive.
The screw in rem choke breacher comes with a teacup chew wah wah.

Call king armory. They're shotgun breachers and breaks look like death attached to a shotgun barrel. Very high quality.

But the problem is the barrel is chopped no thread at all...:(

They'll cut and attach they're breacher to your barrel and whatever length you choose. They're stuff isn't threaded. If you want one of their. Breachers as a choke, you'll have to send in an extended choke tube tobe modified. Much more expensive that way.

Thanks I seen it now.
