From the Contra Costa Times via the Mercury News (http://www.mercurynews.com/breaking-news/ci_18277529?nclick_check=1):

OAKLEY -- A proposed ordinance governing firearms sales that Oakley city officials thought was already on the books generated a lengthy debate Tuesday as council members wrestled with what to do about a gun dealer who has been operating out of his home.

...

The ordinance was similar to the ones we've fought in Pleasant Hill, San Carlos and other cities. I guess that this one slipped by us.

Folks, if you hear of these things, please let us know. It's best when we fight them inch by inch.

Thanks, Dave. I actually knew about that one a few days ago. I think that we were waiting for additional info before we ran a fire drill.

Is there still time to do anything?

How did it slip by? He would not be selling if the City did not give him a business license. Strange
