View Full Version : Hard-case for Socom16?

ive been looking for a hardcase for my socom16, and ive come up with a few off brands and of course the pelican 1750. id love to get the pelican but i cant justify paying that much for a case, id rather spend it on ammo or an eotech for the rifle. im looking for something in the sub-$100 range, thats still decent quality.

ive seen and played with the hard plastic cases they sell at big 5 and turners and those dont feel too great to me. id like for the case to have the ability to be locked (lock doesnt have to be built in). what are you guys using? what do you guys recommend? the socom is just short of 40", and i dont need that much excess space for it. whatever info you guys can toss my way will be appreciated, thanks!

SKB makes hardcases that rank between the Pelican and the Doskocils you see at Turners. I think that's about as middle road as you can get as far as hard cases go.

Starlight is another brand, but they cost just as much, if not more than the Pelicans.

I have a Guardforce 6260c Tactical Rifle Case.

It's pretty nice. I can fit two short rifles in it. It's shorter than a normal double rifle case so it fits sideways in the trunk of my car.

Inside Dimensions: 43 7/8 x 14 1/4 x 4 3/8 inches

Shipping was kind of high, but the package was pretty heavy.

You might want to check this out. I have two of these cases and they have worked out great. They are well made and very durable. They list for $225 on the manufactures web site.

You may want to try Starlight cases.

Hard to beat their prices on Pelican Cases and they'll have them drop shipped from Torrance.
