View Full Version : 20 gauge slug gun?

I'm looking for a single shot 20 gauge slug gun that has a scope mount incorporated on the barrel. Iv'e been seeing a lot of H&R rifles...what else is out there?

This gun is going to be used mostly for fun, the sound of a slug flying through the air and that THUD gives me little goose bumps. I hope to push it up to 200 yards while still being accurate. Might take it hunting when I'm confident that I can take one shot and get the job done.

If there is something better than a single shot I am open to suggestions.

I have an old Savage SS that I'm going to have tapped, so I can mount a scope. Yesterday I took it to an indoor range and tried out a .357/.38 chamber adapter at 25 yards. With just the bead sight, I could get close to where I aimed, but with a scope or red dot I could do better.

I did this with an old .410 and with a red dot I have consistent groups with slugs. Also with an adapter for .32 HR mags.
