I am looking for a blued S&W M29, with a 5" to 6 1/2" barrel. Thanks.

Edited to add: I am mainly looking to do something FTF in SoCal at the moment.

Blackwater,

Too bad you're in So Cal, I have a very nice blued M-29 (no dash) four-screw gun with a 6 1/2" barrel in Sacramento............

I am in Orange County, and have a 29-8 with the 6.5 inch barrel. It has 100 rounds through it, and is identical to the Anniversary gun except that it has no anniversary medallion or markings, and the grips are factory-supplied Ahrends smooth combat grips. It is somewhat of a rare gun, never in the official S&W catalog. Some have said it may be a distributor exclusive, or perhaps one of a few "prototype" Anniversary guns made. Condition is perfect, having been to the range one time.

Anyway, I *might* sell it, under the condition that I pick up a 5 inch Colt Anaconda this week. If that deal goes through, I will sell my model 29, as I don't need two .44's. I just wanted to make you aware of this gun, and I will let you know at the end of the week (Friday, probably) whether or not I am selling it. Price would be $650 firm. You won't see this particular specimen anywhere else, at least not with these factory Ahrends grips.

Here is an Auction Arms auction with the gun, except this commercial release has different grips. Oh, and mine is a 6.5 barrel. Looks the same, though.

I didn't know Colt made a 5" Anaconda. That would be a keeper!

Well poop, it might be a 6 inch. I just know it's stainless and LNIB :)

I was pretty sure it was a 5 inch, but I could be wrong.
