I am building my first rifle, i have finished the Lower with the Prince50 mag lock kit, and I am now looking at getting a stag upper A3 flat top with a rear flip up sight. However I just wanted to find out what I need to make sure its legal?
If the rifle doesn't have a detachable mag then can it have a flash supressor?
Or does it have to be a muzzle break? Also do most dealers offer the muzzle break in place of the Flash hinder?

Thanks

Search is your friend - and read the AR/AK FAQ on the main calguns.net page.

If your rifle has a fixed 10-round mag you can have all the evil features you want (flash supressor, pistol grips, collapsible stock).

I'd love to see the difference between a muzzle break and a flash suppressor....

Go to AR15.com and check out who's selling what there. I just got a Stag model 2H from Kiser Munitions for $485 shipped...only took 3 days to get here too. He's always got them in stock, fantastic customer service as well.

A flash suppressor's diameter will be larger than the caliber of the barrel. A muzzle brake will be close in diameter to that of the caliber.

The larger opening for the FH allows the gases to expand and burn inside the FH reducing the flash.

+1 for the stag 2h.

It is a great deal, as it comes with ARMS #40 flip up rear sight. Like posted above, you can get it for $485 shipped over on ar15.com That is what I did and I couldn't be happier.
