New to AKs... was hoping someone could shed some light...

I like the idea of this featureless AK...

Would it be difficult to make it look like this... without the pistol grip.... how much would it cost and could it be done at home?

Now outside of pure esthetics... is there a real world difference between the two?

If you order a Arsenal SGL-31 with a Arsenal Mag Lock good luck trying to convert it to featureless as the mag lock is not easy to revert. If you can get the one w/o the Arsenal ML I say go for it and just remove the Pistol Grip and or add a Pistol Grip Wrap and you will have a featureless rifle. This is why I love AK's so much, it does not take much to make them featureless and or a featured rifle as well.

You can also try using a MMG, take care.

It's extremely easy, I'm not sure why people keep repeating this.

It's extremely easy to remove the permanently affixed maglock that Arsenal puts on their California version?

To the OP, if you want to stay featureless, why not just buy the Saiga? Arsenals are just factory converted Saigas anyways, there's no quality difference.

just get the saiga. the arsenal s just a converted saiga.. unless you are wanting a rifle that looks like an ak. but you can get your saiga converted later on if you want.

if you really want featureless just get a saiga and do the hangduards conversion if you want it to look like an ak.

Or come to a build party and build a featureless 74 kit with a grip fin. Probably for less than the cost of a converted saiga, and damn sure less than an arsenal.
