Do you have pics of the 629, and roughly how old is it?
This is the 629 as you asked. It's the first in the series from roughly 1989.

The top pistol is the 29-3 which is from the early eights I believe. It is like new and has an action job from Craig Maraviov. You can have the stock grips or the Hogues.

I don't know how to combine the threads. RB

RB,

I know someone looking for a 45 caliber Lever, although I don't know yet if 16" is what he's thinking of. And I might be interested. Does your Winchester have a cross bolt or tang safety, and standard or rebounding hammer??

Thanks!!

Hey Robairto, you shoot that 4" 625 yet?? I know you're not really looking for any trades, but I thought I'd run this one by you, as I recall you were an N frame S&W fan. I have a blued 29 (no dash) four screw gun with a 6 1/2" barrel that appears to be unfired. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the original grips, but does have a nice set of either Eagle smooth Classics or Nill Coke bottle replicas (I have both for it). It's very nice, and a tough gun to find in this (or any) condition in California. Might make some nice tradin' material on that TRS............

Yes I love my 625 and have shot it. It is awesome. I sold my Colt today to Brett who end up with my 627 last spring. You need that TRS to help keep the streets safe. We'll talk if I don't sell it. Stay safe. RB

That gun is under lock n key by Schlamoo. It was a 6 shot and the 1st in the series of the 627's. It is a gorgeous gun and had the finest timing of all my smiths. Our fine brother Schlamoo would have to respond if it's for sale or not. RB

Sorry for the dealyed response. It has a cross bolt and is about 5 yrs old. Iv'e shot about 100 rnds thru it. I have about 150 rnds Ill throw in as well. It's got the factory large hoop installed by Craig Maraviov. It's an awesome gun but I have a 44 & 357 that I shoot more often which are set up similarly.I'll photograph it and send them to you after the holidays. RB

EDITED: Hey Rob, my partner says he definitely wants a 24" Lever, and I was offered a deal to good to pass up on a M92.

Thanks though, they aren't making these anymore, and no one makes a 16" M94 type anymore...

Someone should scoop this up......

How is the old Garand doing?

John

Ok, I'll give the trade thing one more try for the TRS. How about a Springfield stainless 1911 in 9mm with three mags (fixed sight gun) that has about 500 rounds through it, and an S&W stainless 649 .38 with three sets of grips that has 50 rounds through it. Or, the Springfield and an excellent 686-1 4" with a low round count. That 649 would be nice to pack around your property!

Happy Holidays!!

Met with Robairto at a local gun store in Sacto. Very nice gentleman who made the transaction really easy for me. Easy to talk to and very cordial. I will definitely do business with him again.

Buy it....buy it....buyit...buyit....nowwww.....buyiiittttt nowwww...

Okay, I bought the close cousin of that TRS, a Les Baer PII from Robairto. It is the best shooting 1911 I have to date (and I have Colts, Springers, Paras, Kimbers)! Shoots straight and very reliable. At the range the other day, I fumbled a follow-up shot at 10 yards and the bullet went to the same hole! (Offset a few millimeter, that's why I knew it went in the "same" hole) man, I should make more mistakes like that.

I'm sure the TRS is as good if not better that the PII I got from Robairto. Oh, did I say he's one stand-up guy?

If I have more money, I would have bought that TRS too!

Just to add a +1 for Rob, if he tells you it's good then it'll probably be better than that.

I was able to pick it up. It makes one hole groups when I do my part, and now I'm spoiled. The Kimber TLE/RL isn't quite as good as it used to be...

He's a great guy to deal with. A+++
