I am looking for a dope sheet for the .223 I would like one that runs to 1000yds but to 600 would be great. Specifically I am looking for info on the 69 grain sierra matchking traveling at 2707 fps and a 100yd zero but if a 200 or 300yd zero is all you got I ill change my zero

This is what I get with the JBM Small Arms Ballistics Calculator (http://www.eskimo.com/~jbm/calculations/traj/traj.html).

thank you very much. Where did you get that. I see eskimo.com is that available to general public or do you need to have a membership?

JBM is free for anyone to use. It's just a CGI based web app. You can even download the CGI's and host them on your own webserver.

And as you can see on the data, the 69gr load you have won't make it past 700 yards. You'll need 80s or better.

Click on JBM Small Arms Ballistics Calculator. It will link you directly to the calculator. It's free.

The JBM calculator is great. I use it all the time to get basic come ups after doing chrono work.

The 69 is barely adequate at 600. Starts going all over the place 800 (talking feet here, not inches). You could shoot the 77 SMK, loaded to mag length out to 800 but that's about it. For best performance from 600 out use the 80 SMK or the Hornaday 75 Amax.

I shot a 3 shot group with the 69 gr smk that came in at .295in. I know 600 is max for that round but wanted some good data to 1000 and with that calculator I can now do it for my .308 and my .300 win mag. I am a happy man.

the distance on the .295 group was 300 yrds.
