I'm having one hell of a time trying to find one. None of the hardware shops carry anything that small and I've spent the whole day trying to find one. Its for my Savage rifle.

Also called a couple gun shops but no one picks up the phone.. maybe they were closed today?

If anybody has one for me to use I would really appreciate it.

Chris

Ps: sorry about posting in Centerfire Rifles, but it seems to get more traffic.

Just checked the website - they don't list a tap in that size.

Thanks for the help though

6-48 is an oddball size used mostly on guns.
Get 6-48 taps from Brownell's:
http://www.brownells.com/1/3/6-48-tap

Brownells also has slightly oversized 6-48 screws to posssibly save a stripped hole.
