my carbine needs a makeover and I'm thinking of going a little crazy with it. I really like the look when the rail goes almost all the way to the end of the barrel. who runs a set up like this? what rail system are you using?

Try Troy TRX 13" on a 14.5". The muzzle break sticks out the end.

Here is my next upper, once I can scrap together the funds, with a battle comp. pinned on. Thats a LaRue 12" rail on a BCM BHF midlength 14.5" barrel.

Here's mine right after I assembled it and before I put BUIS and optics on it.

I LOVE this handguard. It clamps on to a stock barrel nut and is solid as hell.

***Before any body starts some sort of needless crying about the rifle config, the rifle wasn't/isn't in CA this way. Kydex wrap has been added.

Nice chair Don. :)

That chair is actually quite comfy! the color really isn't as bad as it is in the picture plus the price for a pair of chairs and a matching footstool was right. FREE99!

I think my current set-up is more ninja. I tried to copy the MW2 M4
I thought it was cool at the time, but now it's pretty lame.

^ NO. That looks a lot better than a carbine length upper with a heavy rifle length rail IMHO...

Your's looks good!

sigh..... You do realize that that "carbine" A.R.M.S SIR weights 0.8 ounces heavier than that "heavy" rifle length DD lite rail, right?

I was on the line also about rifle or carbine handguard. I went rifle and decided I liked it

Edit: you said railed but just imagine all the money you can save on rail covers
