It's an older 686 with a bore obstruction and another round stuck in between the forcing cone and the cylinder so it cannot be opened and unloaded. Can this be shipped like this? Should this just go back to Smith & Wesson or is there someone better? :helpsmilie:
Thanks!
Dave

I'd contact APEX Tactical without even blinking. Randy Lee is an outstanding gunsmith that specializes in revolvers.

Give him a call and I'm sure he'll give you sound advice on how to proceed.

DGoodale, simply drive the offending bullet back into the cylinder with a brass rod. In lieu of a brass rod you can sacrafice an old cleaning rod. Just make sure the end is blunt. Sharp objects will just sink in and disform the bullet more. Squib loads are easily dealt with in this fashion, I've cleared a few of these in my day.
The round has been fired, bullet is stuck between the forcing cone and cylinder, there's no chance of a detonation. Run the rod down the barrel and pound that bullet back into the case, then unload as usual.
Now you owe me a $50 gunsmithing fee.....J/K.
